Olivia's Lunch

Now in its 6th year, and having raised in excess of $185,000, Olivia’s Lunch is a ladies lunch held in memory of Olivia Clark (26/02/01 – 4/03/01).

Olivia was born prematurely at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital and was cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Sadly she lost her struggle for life. It is in her memory that we raise vital funds for the Mater’s NICU. This department takes care of all the babies at the Mater who don’t have an easy start to life due to being born premature or who are seriously ill with life threatening conditions. To provide the best possible care for these babies and their families, the Mater requires extremely specialised staff and equipment. Each year we aim to buy what is needed to help give the 1,500 premature babies treated at the Mater each year, a better chance at survival.  We would love you and your friends to join us for lunch and help us to continue to support the department of neonatology at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital.

Gala Spring Fashion Parade

Join Mater Foundation on Wedenesday 17 September for the annual Gala Spring Fashion Parade, showcasing the new spring and summer fashions by the Brisbane Arcade's award winning designers.

Held at the Sebel and Citigate hotel, the morning features a delicious morning tea, entertainment, silent auction and fabulous raffle prizes. 

Tickets are $40 per person or $400 for a table of ten with all proceeds benefiting Ovarian Cancer Research at the Mater Medical Research Institute. 

One Day in September Breakfast

Join Mater Foundation for the One Day in September Breakfast on Friday 12 September 2008, at the Tattersall's Club Grand Ballroom to launch the Mater Prostate Cancer Campaign.

Enjoy a panel discussion with NRL, AFL and ARU sporting greats and learn more about the ground breaking prostate cancer research performed at the Mater.

Win great prizes including tickets to the NRL and AFL grand finals and to the Bledisloe Cup in Hong Kong. Prizes include flights and accommodation.
